How a workshop session works
- 1
A weekly session and an online lesson
A two-hour in-person session at a fixed time each week, plus a short recorded lesson every week so your child keeps practising at home. Sessions can move to another group, subject to availability.
- 2
Everything is here
3D printers, laser machines, VR headsets, hand tools and model materials. Nothing to buy.
- 3
A real project to take home
Your child leaves every track with a tangible piece made by hand, from idea to finished product.
- 4
You can follow along
A dedicated parents' area, open during every session.
Four stages, four tracks in each
Every track lasts three months and every stage builds on the one before: from a first hand drawing to a product sold at the bazaar.
Stage 1
The right start: design principles, a first printed digital model, and an introduction to business.
-
ArchitectureDiscovering shape and space
Seeing buildings as shapes and spaces, drawing them by hand in perspective, and reading 2D and 3D architectural drawings.
-
Design & digital fabricationDesign and fabrication fundamentals
Design elements and principles such as balance and proportion, applied to simple products made with digital fabrication tools.
-
3D modelling & printing3D design
Building a first digital model in TinkerCAD, then printing it on 3D printers.
-
Financial awareness & entrepreneurshipWhat a business is
What a project is and how it makes a profit, while building each student's personal brand.
Stage 2
More precision: drawing to scale, digital design, modelling in Fusion 360, and a plan for a first project.
-
ArchitectureScale drawing and structural systems
Drawing to scale and proportion, and testing how structures carry loads on simple models.
-
Design & digital fabricationDigital design
Applying design theory in digital drawing software and preparing files for accurate machine production.
-
3D modelling & printingFusion 360
Modelling precise parts to real measurements in Fusion 360 and printing them as usable products.
-
Financial awareness & entrepreneurshipPlanning the project
Turning an idea into a clear plan with the Business Model Canvas: customer, value, cost and revenue.
Stage 3
Professional tools: CAD, laser, CNC and Blender, and pitching the project to real companies.
-
ArchitectureContemporary architecture and CAD
Studying landmark contemporary buildings, then producing precise digital drawings in CAD software.
-
Design & digital fabricationLaser and CNC applications
Designing parts for laser cutting and CNC shaping, and assembling them into a finished product or model.
-
3D modelling & printingBlender
Free-form modelling, lighting and rendering in Blender for professional-quality models and images.
-
Financial awareness & entrepreneurshipPitching to real companies
Preparing a project presentation, pitching it to real companies and learning from their feedback.
Stage 4
Ready for the future: virtual reality and AI, and a university-ready portfolio.
-
ArchitectureA complete project with VR and AI
Designing a full building from concept to detail, using AI to generate options, then walking through it at full scale in VR.
-
Design & digital fabricationParametric design
Building complex forms from rules and algorithms instead of hand drawing, and producing them with digital fabrication.
-
3D modelling & printingMulti-part models
Designing a product of several precisely fitting parts, printing them and assembling a working model.
-
Financial awareness & entrepreneurshipGoing to market at the year-end bazaar
Turning the product into a real business: pricing, packaging and display, then selling to visitors at the annual bazaar.
Every track rests on four pillars:
- Learning by doing
- Making by hand in the workshop
- Technology and AI tools
- A final project shown to families
What your child gets

In-person program FAQ
Do the tracks have to be taken in order?
We recommend starting at Stage 1, since each stage builds on the one before. If your child has prior experience, a trainer assesses their level and places them in the right stage.
Can a young child follow the curriculum?
Yes. The curriculum is designed for ages 7 to 18. We start with the basics in a simple, enjoyable way, and over time your child gains real experience in design, making and financial awareness.
How many students are in a group?
Ten at most per session, so every student gets time on the machines and with the trainer.
If the program does not suit my child, can I get a refund?
Yes. You get a full refund if you ask after the first session and before the second. After that, the refund policy in our terms and conditions applies.
Do you provide the software and equipment?
Yes. In-person sessions use our workshop, printers and materials. Students bring their own laptop or tablet.
Are sessions in Arabic or English?
It depends on the group your child joins; you can request your preferred language when you register.
What if my child misses a session?
One session a month can be postponed with 24 hours' notice. A no-show counts as a completed session, and sessions the academy cancels are made up.
What does my child gain from architecture and 3D printing at this age?
More than software skills: an innovator's mindset. Engineering thinking, problem-solving, and turning an idea into a real, tangible product.
How can a child start their own business?
The fourth track of every stage focuses on entrepreneurship: product identity, pricing and marketing. At year end, students sell their products to visitors at the annual bazaar.
Can my child continue after the year?
Yes. The program is built in stages; after finishing one, students move on to the next, up to Stage 4.
